Grace Kim is a freshman at Centreville High School in Virginia. She began playing the violin in fourth grade and has developed a strong passion for music, finding joy not only in performing but also in sharing music with others.

At Centreville, Grace is currently a member of the school’s highest-level orchestra, Philharmonic and Symphony. During middle school, she played in the top chamber orchestra and served as concertmaster, where she led her section and supported her peers. In recognition of her dedication and musical growth, Grace received the Music Honor Award from her school’s music directors.

Grace has also been involved in several opportunities through music. She was selected to perform in a string quartet, which represented the orchestra program to incoming students.

What Grace values most about music is its ability to connect people. She sees the violin not only as an instrument, but as a way to express herself and inspire others. Looking ahead, Grace hopes to continue growing as a musician and to encourage others to discover the same love for music that has made such a meaningful impact on her life
